Ice cores from GISP (Greenland Ice Sampling Project)

(series) Ice cores from GISP (Greenland Ice Sampling Project) from near the bottom of the ice cap, over 3000 meters down. This ice is about a quarter million years old. The cores include particulates of various sizes from the rock beneath, a testament to the high pressure interactions at such depths. Relevant primarily to Piesterion.
